Get to Know the Sturgeon Bay

Sturgeon Bay is one of Wisconsin's most unique areas. Explore the shops, galleries, and restaurants along historic Third Avenue. Walk over to Door County Maritime Museum, where you'll find displays and exhibits related to the maritime history of the Great Lakes. Take a short drive to Potawatomi State Park, and wander through 1,200 scenic acres along Sturgeon Bay. And don't forget fishing: Sturgeon Bay is a fisherman's paradise, with an abundance of smallmouth bass, walleye, musky, and northern pike. "Our stay was just so perfect. My husband and I came up for a little autumn getaway from Milwaukee. I’ve been to door county many, many times but I’ve never felt more cozy staying here. Nick greeted us when we arrived and showed us to our part of the house. Very kind and eager to have us. We even woke up one morning to delicious homemade muffins (which were SO good). It was so clean and was an overall beautiful home. I absolutely have no complaints. Great views from the porch as well - especially with the sunrise! 12/10 recommend staying here! "

"Stay was great in the Oak Street unit. My wife and I loved our stay and will plan to stay again in future years. We loved the living area and fireplace. The bed was comfortable and the jet tub was great to have. The unit was very quiet and clean. Location was easy to access and convenient to access the Sturgeon Bay area. Complimentary K-cups were great in the morning. Temperature in the unit was perfect. Thanks again! "

When you stay at The Prospect House, you're close to many of Sturgeon Bay's best restaurants, bars, and pubs. The Bluefront Cafe, and local favorite known for it's unique lunch menus, is a three-minute walk from us. Scaturo's Baking Company & Cafe, where you can enjoy homestyle meals for breakfast and lunch, is right down the street. And a short drive will get you to a couple of the area's most popular dining establishments: Donny's Glidden Lodge and the Nightingale Supper Club. Our Location

The Prospect House is located just off Scenic Highway 42 (State Trunk Highway 42), on Sturgeon Bay's West Waterfront. We're a block from the town's historic business district and close to the Michigan Street Bridge and Oregon Street Bridge.
